Balboa Park, San Diego3/25/2013 This weekend, my parents, Brody and I went to visit my sister in San Diego. She just got a new apartment so I was excited to check it out. We hopped on the train and spent Saturday and Sunday visiting various parts of the city we hadn’t seen before. This iPhone photo blog reflects the gorgeous, historic Balboa Park. I absolutely adore this place. It’s so rich with history and character. Brody loved the koi pond and checking out the caterpillars. He also had fun climbing the roots of a tree. I keep forgetting how much this kid loves nature. The park features activities specifically for kids, and I hope to bring Brody to one soon. I mean, there are only a few years where my little guy will hold my hand – I want to make them as fun as I can! There is so much to see at Balboa Park. I hope we get the chance to visit on a Tuesday; that’s when we can visit some museums for free! There are over 15 museums to choose from, so there is no way we can do it all in one day. Plus, there are gardens, art, and various attractions to see. No wonder my sister moved to San Diego!
