Little Louie is causing all kinds of madness in here! Lots of movement and a few kicks/punches here and there. Yep, this is happening - totally making a human. Apparently, he is about the size of a grapefruit right now. Even though the due date still seems a long way off, it is starting to feel like I'm running out of time to prepare. Oh and this yucky, sticky heat? NOT helping matters!
Even if it is National Ice Cream Month, I have to stick to frozen yogurt and popsicles for a bit. Ice cream has felt a bit too heavy and isn't working so well with my pregnant body. But hey, pops are just as good! Especially during these hot southern Californian nights! Patrick found these delicious Pomegranate Cherry Fruit Bars at Fresh and Easy, and we're already running out (oops!).
Originally, we had planned Space Week for Camp Watkinez, but we changed it to Art Week. You see, last Sunday, the Brodster visited the Wyland art gallery in San Diego and absolutely loved it. He had been a big fan of Wyland for years, so seeing his work in person was inspiring for the little guy. The young host at the gallery was wonderful, giving us a small tour and letting us know of the upcoming meet and greets with the artist. We were planning on returning to Seaport village for the November show, but we just found out a Hollywood gallery would be opening in September! The Brodster is besides himself with the possibility of meeting his favorite painter, so we're taking this sudden burst of creative energy to have fun with art projects this week. Plus, it'll help me out because he could paint while I'm organizing the nursery. :)
