I am a big fan of monthly challenges. A fun way to encourage personal growth and creativity is totally the Cozy Reverie mantra! Here are a few of my favorites that I’m sure you all will love too
For the new artist: Ello Lovey
Ello Lovey is one of my favorite artists on Instagram. I have joined her #DoodleADay series quite a few times (see here, here, here, and here). Her one word prompts keep it simple and open to interpretation, so you can get really creative. The list for the month hasn’t been posted yet, but I’m sure it will be just as fun like always. This one is great for kids!
For the artist that wants to grow: Creative Bug + The House That Lars Built
The House That Lars Built is encouraging her readers to embrace their “creative bug” with a drawing challenge for the month. Creative Bug is a paid site, but super affordable. Plus, you can use your free trial for this class!
For the crafter: Blitsy Crafts
Did you know March is also known as Craft Month? YEAH! For 31 days, Blitsy will be encouraging you to get crafty. You don’t have to make something new every day, but you can certainly try. I highly suggest getting your kids involved. Now that’s a challenge!
For the not-so-new artist: Spoonflower
This is for those that aspire to become textile designers (*raises hand enthusiastically*). It is a fast-paced 15-day daily prompt challenge that is emailed to all who sign up for it. Note: You’ve got to know your stuff around the technology required for this one, especially if you want to win the contest involved.
For the fit peeps: 30 Day Fitness Challenges
Which one doesn’t belong? HAHA! I know, this is an art blog, but health and fitness have become a priority so I had to throw this one in here. I love me some fitness goals, especially when they are made easy and practically spelled out for you. This site does that. You can get all 18 workout challenges for $5, so it’s pretty pretty good. However, if you want a freebie chart to follow, check out Pop Sugar’s challenges.
Which challenges will you be trying out this month? I’m following Blitsy and Spoonflower for sure! You will see all my shenanigans on Instagram. :)
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
