Thrifty DIY Wedding, Part Nine: Wedding Attire
The search for the wedding dress was not easy. It was down right frustrating, especially because the one I wanted was always sold out on Modcloth. At one point, I wanted to make my own dress, but the cut I used wasn't my favorite (just a bit out of practice - boo!).
When I was panicking, my bridesmaids and maid of honor said we'd all go shopping. I wasn't too convinced that we'd find it. We went to Macy's, Nordstrom, and other stores but nothing seemed right.
My bridesmaid, Susan, suggested to visit Forever 21. I love that store, but I still wasn't convinced that I would find the dress.
Within 15 minutes in the store, Susan found it! The dress flattered all the right places and it was the perfect combination of dressy and casual. Plus, all the bridesmaids and I wore crochet Toms so it was a perfect match.
Total for the wedding attire (dress + shoes): $90.
