When visiting Disneyland, I am all about the ears. I would totally collect them if I had the money. However, this may not be for everyone. Today, I have a more subtle option for you Disney-lovers: A Bambi-inspired headpiece.
- Floral Headband
- Hot Glue Gun
1. Find a small floral headband (I used a similar one to this one) or make your own (I love this tutorial).
2. Print and cut out your character of choice on cardstock. Naturally, I chose Flower, since that's who Bambi meets in a flower patch. Try to print the character at a size between 2 inches and 2.5 inches. (Click here to download the Flower I used).
3. Hot glue the bottom of the of the character between the petals of your headband. Then hot glue the petals to the front and back of the character cardstock for extra durability.
4. Done! Ready to wear!
This project took 10 minutes to complete! It was so easy, and I am 100% positive I'll be creating more. Maybe Flik from A Bug's Life or Spike, the bee! High-five to the first person that can name a Disney short that Spike appeared in. ;)
So many great choices...which character should I choose next?
Disneyland turned 60 last Friday, so the rest of the year is basically one big Disney unbirthday party. Any reason to party is fine by me!
Looking back at my DIY tutorials, I cannot believe how much I am lacking in the Disney-inspired stuff! Seriously, it's whack. When I saw that, I sat back and thought about all the Disney lovin' jazz we have around the house. Paintings, pillows, posters, and more, but not one DIY on the blog this year! Unacceptable.
This week, I am prepared to give you five new Disney-inspired posts! Couple of DIYs, a fun styling post, plus a freebie later this week. It's been a while since I have been that ambitious with a theme, but it has to be done. Sorry, to all you non-Disney fans out there (not sorry, really), but it's going to be Disney-overload here. After all, it's Disneyland's 60th anniversary!
But first, caffeine. :)

Today is officially the 60th anniversary of Disneyland. Shine in your dappiest gear at the Diamond Celebration for Dapper Day! Get inspo from some of my favorite Disney IGers, like Team Sparkle, Andy's Eye Candy, and My Little Pin Up Girl.
Ears Come True is a wonderful crafter who designs darling Minnie Mouse ears, including these that feature my Mary Poppins Doodles fabric!
Did you know the Mouskateers shared their birthday with Disneyland? Check out this rare footage of them breaking it down at the opening! Doesn't my outfit today totally look like one of them?
For the next month, we'll be super busy over at A Waltz Through Disney. Be sure to follow us along on Facebook for all the fun, including the #AWTDland2015!
Anybody else planning on lots and lots of ice cream this summer? I sure am! July is known as National Ice Cream Month so that means you really have to party. What better way to dress up a party than with ice cream bowl place cards!
Today's free printable features a lovely pink flamingo. Each place card is 3in x 3in, so the fit perfectly in ice cream bowls. Six blank place cards will print easily from home on a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. I highly recommend using cardstock paper when printing. Once printed, cut along the circle and write your guests name on each one. They will fit quite nicely in your bowls. Dunzo! Ice Cream social!
By the by, how awesome is this napkin?
It is made from my fabric, available here.

I'm not gonna lie; I do NOT miss traffic in Los Angeles. Living in southern California all my life, I only did the horrendous drive for five years when I worked in West L.A. The 405 is the worst place EVER. Now that I think about it, I wish I had invested in audio books. At least that would have helped make the drive tolerable.
The quote on this tank was inspired by one of my friends who didn't grow up here. He would comment "That's so L.A." when referring to ridiculous things that happen here. Traffic, paparazzi, saying "the" before any freeway reference. Did you know we are the only ones that say "the 405" and "the 101"? I can't imagine saying it any other way! LOL!
What other aspects of this city would make you say "That's so L.A."?
Happy National French Fries Day! Yeah, I am all up on the food celebrations.
I really shouldn't be excited for all the junk food days, but French fries are very near and dear to my heart. To me, French fries are like pizza - I cannot and will not resist. So to celebrate today, let us pay homage with some super duper easy wall art! Why, you ask? Pssh...why not?
- Red, Yellow, and Blue Felt
- String, ribbon, or yarn
- One plastic straw
- Hot Glue
1. Using this template, cut the fries holder from the red felt. Cut the fries out of the yellow felt.
2. Fold the blue felt in half, vertically. Cut from the bottom corner to the edge of the felt, about 1 inch above the bottom.
3. Lay flat the blue felt. Place the pieces in the desired position on the blue felt. Hot glue in place.
4. Turn over and fold the top of the blue felt down, about 1 inch. Hot glue the edge, keeping in mind to leave room for the straw to fit through.
5. Take your yarn and thread it through the straw.
6. Take your straw and thread it through the felt opening.
7. Complete it by tying a knot with the yarn.
Ta-da! Instant junk food wall art!
This is now hanging on Louie's bedroom door. Get it? Small fry! ;)
Okay, peeps, it's your turn. Show me how you get down with felt and a hot glue gun. Be sure to post your pictures on Instagram, and use the hashtag #CozyReverieStyle. Yay! I can't wait to see your stuff!
Can you believe we've already gone through half of 2015? Weren't we just shopping for Valentine's Day?! Wowzers.
A bit of feedback I have gotten so far this year is that some posts tend to tend to be missed (that darn Facebook doesn't show all my followers every post and it's super irritating!). I've got a few solutions for you! I am on Bloglovin', but if that doesn't work for you, then be sure to sign up for the weekly newsletter. Just rest assured that if those don't work for you, I am starting a "This Week" series as a recap for the blog! I'm also going to add some fun links you can browse through because why the heck not? ;)
I was interviewed by Cut Out + Keep for Superhero Sunday!
I recreated one of my greeting cards IRL. Yes, I'm still blushing about it.

These Disney-inspired wooden peg dolls are a great kid craft.

Do you ever wonder how much of your life is being lived through your lens?
I feel that with social media, we have had more pressure to be documenting exciting lives. More vacations, bigger events, lots of air travel - all to be posted on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and/or Instagram. I am absolutely guilty of this too, and really wish I wasn't.
I hope to keep a bit of "living in the moment" experiences. Being comfortable enough to not have my phone in my hand. Letting myself watch a firework show without filming it. Taking in a sunset without a photograph. Sometimes, it's okay to let my memory be enough. This frees up my hands to hold my little ones or hug my husband. Life is the adventure. I don't want to miss it!
