Step In Time!8/27/2015 This day in history: Mary Poppins premiered in 1964! The music from this film gets better and better every time I listen to it. Julie Andrews is my freakin' hero. Oh, and Dick Van Dyke as Bert is my forever crush. A few months ago, I illustrated items that reminded me of Mary Poppins just for fun. Just seeing them in black and white made for a instant pattern for fabric. Up they went onto my Spoonflower shop and they have been a favorite on there ever since. Naturally, I had to draw myself into my favorite scene of the film. STEP IN TIME! Hat: Forever 21 similar / Blazer: Forever 21 similar / Necklace: Caroline G Dress: Cozy Reverie Fabric / Heels: Cathy Jean I constructed this dress out of the performance fabric option. It is wonderfully comfortable, but MAN is it hard to sew. Are there special machines for these? Sheesh! With that said, I just adore how it came out and can't get over how awesome the "doodles" show up on the knit. I've got to keep this doodle trend going. Have you used this fabric pattern for your projects?
Show me on Instagram with the hashtag #CozyReverieStyle! I Want To Eat My Purse8/25/2015 My food pouches are here! I want to eat them all. See, this is what happens when you binge-watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix: beautiful, glorious food. My next series is most definitely going to involve COFFEE. These colorful additions are now live in my Redbubble shop! I'm partial to the cheeseburger, but I don't know if I can deny my French Fries. Check out the complete collection below: You can shop all pouches here!
So tell me, which one would you eat - er, I mean - wear? Comment below! Hella Busy Art Print8/24/2015 It's pretty insane-in-the-membrane around here sometimes. Between running the household, entertaining an infant, karate and school with a 7-year old (the Brodster is also writing and directing his first movie - wut?), handling custom orders, and writing for the blog, I'm hella busy. Life inspires some of my favorite pieces sometimes, which brings fun printables for you. You can download the "Hella Busy" jpeg here, print from your home computer, and frame! This is perfect for any home and/or office. I would even use it as a door sign, so people know that I'm not to be messed with at the moment! ;) If you aren't a fan of your home printer, you can always find my quality art print here (use the code 15PRINT at checkout to get 15% off at Society6!). The entire "Hella Busy" collection is available here. Once downloaded, you agree to the terms that these digital images are for your own personal crafts. Files may not be re-sold in any format.
