Let's get real: as a stay-at-home mom, I'm not always in dress with my hair straightened. Shocking, I know. I'm usually in super comfortable yoga/lounge pants and flowy tops because hanging out with a 6-year old demands it of me. Plus, why in the world would I wash dishes in my favorite orange dress?
This is me in a normal, every day get up. Well, at least suitable to photograph in. I'm sure I've looked much MUCH more haggard in the mornings! I themed it with our upcoming holiday just for fun. Oh, and look! The bump just got bigger overnight!
Little known fact: I don't write every blog post the day of posting! WHAT?! I know, I've totally blown your mind. See, usually I plan my posts on Mondays for the following week, not the current week. I photograph and write most of the posts over the weekend or early in the week. These photos were taken before the Brodster and I decorated the house, so I am a little bummed I didn't wait. Our mantle now has a 4th of July banner and it would have made a great backdrop.
What is it about getting ready for a holiday that makes every day life so much more fun? We'll be spending it with family, so thankfully, there's not a lot of stressful planning, like during Christmastime.
What are your plans for the holiday? Post in the comments below!
