Fit Fridays are probably the most honest posts I will be doing on this blog. This is mainly because it discusses one of my main insecurities: my weight. This is nothing new, especially for a woman. Still, every journey is different, so if my story can help someone else stay motivated, then YAY! One of the most difficult aspects of keeping consistent is the workout routine. Since my work week includes a lengthy commute everyday, I have to find ways to work out at home. For me, the easiest part is finding a new workout, but the hardest part is pushing play. That is why I have such a great collection of workouts. I willl start a routine and quickly "get bored" and stop.
But I need to be honest here. I don't really get bored. I get LAZY. Boredom is just the lie I use to convince myself to not continue the program. DVD sets from Beachbody.com, Zumba, Kettlebells, Yoga, Pilates plus more! I could choose any type of routine any day of the week, but I don't. How awful is that? Every day is a new start, right? So today, I am choosing a workout. No more excuses or laziness. It is only an hour a day (sometimes less, depending in the schedule). After looking at my library, I have decided to start my favorite of all the sets: Les Mills Combat. This is very reminiscent of my Tae Kwon Do days and is where I had the most fun. If you are going to stick to a workout, the key is to make sure you love it. What is YOUR soulmate workout?
