You know when you have a big dream and then a lot of mini-dreams underneath it? Designing practically ANYTHING is my dream job. As long as my creativity if constantly challenged, I am ALL OVER IT! So what are the mini-dreams? Acrylic paintings for the home, designing graphic tees, writing children's books - ack, this list might run a little long...let's cut it off with - and illustrating greeting cards.
I have made my own cards for years, probably since I was a kid. My mom is a huge advocate for Do-It-Yourself crafts, so every holiday I would make something for my classmates. I mean EVERY holiday. Who else makes gift bags for St. Patrick's Day? Is that even normal? Now, as an adult, I always found it more difficult to find cards that I found appropriate for occasions. Greeting card companies don't seem to know my friends personally, so it's really annoying when they don't quite capture my friend's unconditional love for maraschino cherries! UGH! Etsy has always been a great place for artists to sell their original work, but it wasn't until the recent option of Instant Downloads that I am finally able to design cards! You see, I was always hesitant because I couldn't afford printing the greeting cards on quality paper to sell. Now, the Cozy Reverie Etsy shop can send you a PDF file for you to print, cut out, and fold for your very own easy DIY greeting cards! BONUS: you keep the file and can print as many as you want! I hope to be able to sell physical cards in the future, because nothing beats a quality printed card. Still, I really love being able to provide my original work right now. This is especially perfect for you procrastinators out there! So if you happen to have a very specific greeting card in mind, but your local stationary store doesn't carry it yet, contact me. I can totally make it happen!
