Last month, I asked all you Cozy Reveriers for your input on what you hoped to see more of (and less of) on the blog. Thanks so much for all your input! As a humble blogger, feedback is rarely given so I truly appreciate the readers who took the time to answer the questionnaire. Here are the results: What do you hope to see more of?Outfit Posts: 4% Art Posts: 55% DIY Posts: 40% Product Information: 1% Whew! Thanks goodness art was at the top of the list! I was actually nervous that people would want to see less of my art because that is basically what inspired Cozy Reverie in the first place. With all the small projects I like to try out, I realized that the blog's content was starting to go into all kinds of directions. Time to reel it back in, and get back to the heart of it all. The DIY requests is a pleasant surprise. Though it looks like my readers are split in this category (40% say more and 40% say less), I have always loved finding do-it-yourself crafts online and it looks like many of you do too. It is incredibly satisfying to make something yourself. DIY has become such a big part of my lifestyle, especially for my boys, so I'm definitely leaning towards adding more of this on the blog. I already have a couple of tutorials planned, but I'll need to wait until after the busy Valentine's Day season to work on them. Stay tuned! What do you hope to see less of?Outfit Posts: 20% Art Posts: 0% DIY Posts: 40% Product Information: 40% To be quite honest, I was relieved by this feedback. The outfit posts were fun during my pregnancy, just to see how Louie was growing. I also liked the challenge of having a variety of maternity posts without buying any maternity clothes (I succeeded - whoohoo!). However, it has become a bit time-consuming now, which in turn, can make these posts lazy. With two boys, a household, and a small shop to run, I am looking forward to chill out on the outfit posts. They won't go away completely though, since I love featuring Cozy Reverie apparel, especially when my boys wear it. Product info doesn't seem to be too popular on the blog, and I can see why. Most of those posts always felt like filler posts, which can make a blog boring. I already had a feeling about this last year, which is why I created a separate account for my art. For those who want the newest apparel and gifts information, be sure to follow the Cozy Reverie on Society 6 Instagram account! What does this mean for Cozy Reverie?I must have rewritten this section, like, five times. In the DIY department, rest assured these will continue. I wish I were able to do actual tutorial videos but I don't have a mic at the moment. Maybe in the future, who knows? In the meantime, lots and lots of pics to show you how to do it yourself! Projects-wise: There's a possible collaboration in the future which might bring my illustrations to a brand new children's book. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, Cozy Reverie is doing a doodle-a-day with Ello Lovey's Instagram game and I encourage you to do it with me! Seriously, make are with me. It's fun, I promise. With that said, posts will actually begin to slow down a bit. I'm always on Bloglovin', following my favorite blogs and thinking "I want to be like her!" but I forget that many of these bloggers actually do this as their full-time career. Some of them even have staff, helping them with content, photography, and much more. I'm a solo act here, folks! With a newborn! Yeah, blog life needs to balance better with my actual life, and I'd hate to get burnt out by letting it weigh on me more than it should. This blog is almost an organic being; it grows and changes from day to day. As much as readers love the family lifestyle posts (believe me, I do too!), I really want to keep focused on the style and art. Not just my art either! I started to blog 2 years ago in hopes of encouraging others to be creative as well. Seriously, this is not just about me. A dream of mine has always been for Cozy Reverie to connect and collaborate with other artists. I'm excited to see what the brand evolves into! Well, there you have it. Thanks again to all who took the survey.
Cozy Reverie is going to have a great year because of you!
