I'm really excited to offer this new item for the Etsy shop: Custom Halloween Greeting Cards! I know, I know...it's only August. However, the holiday is right around the corner. Once you settle in after all the back-to-school madness and you think you got your routine back, here comes Halloween! Decorations, costumes, parties! Yep, Halloween is practically tomorrow. Looking at the shop's success this past year, I've noticed that custom illustrations are a big favorite. I wanted to take it a step further and really make custom listings easier for guests, maybe even give ideas that most wouldn't think about. Thus, the custom Halloween cards are born! Since baby Louie is due in October, that is the main reason I am announcing this item early. I would love to work on as many custom illustrations as I can before I go on hiatus from the Etsy shop. Instant Downloads and 4x6 art prints will still be available in the shop, but my custom work will have to wait until after I have a good, steady schedule with my little newborn. ![]() This is a great way to wish your friends and family a very happy Halloween. It can be an individual, or the whole family illustrated on the card! This is for digital file greeting cards only. Once the illustration is complete, the digital file of the card will be emailed to you. It prints on a standard 8x11 sheet of paper (I highly suggest cardstock), where you can cut and fold the card. It's that easy! The file makes a 5x7" card, blank inside so that you can write your own special note. Other ideas: * Use the cards as invitations for your Halloween Party * Cut out the illustration to put in a 5x7 frame * Put the illustration in a family scrapbook Can you do family portraits? Absolutely! I can draw up to five people/pets on the card. I know a family who dressed as the Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion one year. How cute would that be on a greeting card?! But what if I don't know my costume yet? I can see how that would be a problem. You can always choose last year's costume, or one that you've always wanted to wear but haven't yet. It doesn't have to be accurate to real life! Get creative! (I'm probably going to draw myself as a Care Bear this year because I'll be full term on October 31). Can you send the digital JPEG or PNG file? I would like to get the illustration professionally printed rather than print out at home. Not a problem! However, I would suggest purchasing this listing instead. The cost is the same, and you would receive a JPEG file that you can use at any online printing service. Perfect for companies, like Vistaprint or Shutterfly!
