I meant to add my handmade hair clips to the Collar Dress Up shop on Etsy, but I never really got around to it. I think it may be the fact I have been finding less time to make it to the post office, so I didn't want to add any more items that would require me to go. However, it can be a very easy DIY, so I thought I'd share it with everyone! Materials Needed:1. Fabric of choice (I used felt in this tutorial) 2. Needle and Thread 3. French barrette hair clip 4. Scissors 5. Ruler Directions:Step One: Cut three strips of fabric. First measuring 6 inches by 1 inch. Second measuring 4 inches by 1 inch. Third measuring 2 inches by 0.5 inch (not pictured, but I used the white felt for this one as well). Step Two: Take the first strip of fabric and stitch both ends to the center. Step Three: Now stitch the middle to "pinch" the center. This creates the bow. Step Four: Stitch the bow to the center of the second strip of fabric. Step Five: Trim the center and ends of the second strip. I cut a triangle out of each end. Step Six: Take the third strip of fabric and wrap it around the center of the bow with the top of the barrette. Stitch the ends together. Step Seven: Turn the side of the stitching to face under the barrette (you don't want to see the handiwork). DUNZO!
