Fringe is a big trend this summer and lucky for us, it's easy to pull off. Today's DIY project was inspired by the Forever 21 tank in the image on the right. Though the brand is very affordable, why not try making one yourself? Especially if you have an old tee lying around. This top isn’t normally my style, but I found it great for a trip to the beach. It works as a great swimsuit cover up, especially for someone like me, who’s still working on toning the mid-section. Materials needed: Old T-Shirt and scissors Step One: Fold shirt in half. Step Two: Cut off the sleeves, along the inside of the seam. Step Three: Cut off bottom seam. You can throw this part away. Step Four: Cut one inch strips from the bottom of the tee til the mid point of the shirt (or however high you would like the fringe to begin). Step Five: Pull each individual strip to stretch it out. This creates the desired fringe strips. Step Six (optional): Cut off the collar, if you prefer a little more neck room.
