While prepping for my mom’s cacti party, I knew we needed a reason for photographs. Every holiday, I notice that I have a ton of pictures with the boys, but not nearly enough with my parents. Unacceptable! In true DIY fashion, a new backdrop was born! Being an Instagram-obsessed artist, I love the anything using squares as a pattern. When I found out that Shutterfly now does square prints, I jumped at the chance to try this project. Materials Used: - One hundred 4 x 4 prints from Shutterfly (they also have 8x8 and 12x12). I used two illustrations and ordered 50 of each. - Hole punch - Scissors - Twine Directions: 1. Punch a hole on all four corners of each print 2. Grab your twine to weave ten prints in banner form. This will be the main strand that will be hung. 3. Cut small strips of twine to tie the rest of the prints together. Each strand should have ten prints, creating a 10 x 10 grid. This idea can work great for any party because you can change up the images any way you would like! How cute would this be for a backdrop at a baby shower or wedding? TOO cute is the answer here, peeps.
