DIY Piñata Backdrop | Cozy Reverie
It's here! Piñata Day, peeps! I've prepped and prepped for today and I'm so excited to finally celebrate! While it may not be a big deal for many, this has been such a fun project and can proudly say we've created yet another fun holiday to celebrate together. That's the beauty of social media, right?
DIY Piñata Backdrop | Cozy Reverie
In honor of the fun party prop, Cozy Reverie has dedicated this whole week to piñata fun! Let's have a party all year round!! TOO MANY EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!

Naturally, we've got to start big: a jumbo DIY piñata backdrop! Inspired by this tutorial from Live Colorful, we expanded on the task and made it a full blown backdrop. I will definitely be using this backdrop all summer!

Materials Needed:
Lots of Tissue Paper
Butcher Paper (preferably white)
Scissors
Masking tape

Directions:
1. Place the butcher paper where you want your backdrop. Now place another column of paper next to the one you just placed. This will make the backdrop wide enough for multiple people in the photograph. The paper should also be long, to ensure full coverage of the background in the photograph.

2. Fold your tissue paper sheets in half once and cut along the fold. Keeping the strips large will help save time on coverage of the backdrop.

3. Cut the fringe on one side of each strip, being sure to stop at the middle of the strip.

4. Beginning at the bottom edge of the butcher paper, begin to tape the strips to the butcher paper, layering each line as you make your way to the top (You can use glue, but I found that the masking tape is a stronger enforcer for this craft).

DUNZO! Picture time!

This project took me about 2 hours. Quick tip: have some music on. I realized I worked a lot faster when dancing LOLZ!
