I came up with this idea when I didn't have any shoes to match my outfit for #PiñataDay. Why not have piñata slippers?! They sound so comfy and fun! When I showed my husband, he chuckled and said, "That sure is something". While that doesn't exactly sound like a compliment, I KNEW the project was a winner. #BoysJustDontUnderstand Materials: Old pair of slippers (mine were from a dollar store!) Felt Hot glue scissors Directions: 1. Cut small strips of felt 2. Create the "fringe" effect by cutting along one side of each strip, but stoppin at the vertical center. 3. Beginning at the back and bottom of the slipper, hot glue the strip around the whole shoe. 4. For the next strip color, hot glue it slightly higher that then first strip. 5. For the top strip color, be sure to tuck it into the shoe's edge, so it fits comfortably when putting on your shoe. DUNZO! This project opens up a whole new world of possiblity for felt fringe, don't you think? What else could we add colorful, long-lasting fringe to? Comment your ideas below!
