Every round, I try to do something different to keep all my doodles part of the same story. This time, I added an extra step: product photography. To be quite honest, it is an exercise that I have been putting off for years. I have yet to take a photography class and I really should. It's just so intimidating sometimes! A friend of mine directed me to the blog, Thirteen Thoughts, and I immediately fell in love with her photography tutorials. So for this month's Doodle-A-Day, I gave myself one heck of a project. I almost quit at Day 17, but I just hate leaving things unfinished. Behold, 30 glorious doodles by yours truly! Originally, I wasn't even going to do Doodle-A-Day this month because of summer vacation, but you know how I get when creativity kicks in. I can't wait a month. After this exercise, I realized I still have a lot to learn about my camera and all that comes with it. Ah, why can't it be like the Matrix, where we can just download skills into our minds. I'd love to know Kung Fu in 5 minutes. ;)
So I am definitely taking a break for the month of July! If you haven't joined Doodle-a-Day with Ello Lovey, you've got to give it a try. I'm serious; Adults need to color too. Take 5-10 minutes a day to just relax and let yourself go. You can follow Ello Lovey on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, plus shop her work on Etsy. You can see my previous rounds below: Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 So have at it, peeps! And have fun!
