Who remembers The Magic School Bus? If you do, you'll definitely agree with me in saying that Ms. Frizzle was ahead of her time, in more ways than one!
For those that are not familiar, The Magic School Bus began as a book series by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen, which then became an animated television series in the mid-1990s. It was an entertaining and educational show for children, which made learning science fun. The series is currently streaming on Netflix, so I've been binge watching them with my son after school. He loves it!
I particularly like that the series gives each kid in the class a personality, which makes them relatable to children. The Brodster loves the charming class clown, Carlos. Who do I relate to? Ms. Frizzle, of course! Mainly because of her creative wardrobe, not so much in the science department (not my best subject).
Along with her awesome field trips and extensive knowledge in all things science, she had killer style. If I were a teacher, I would totally dress like she does. She always themed her outfits to match the lesson of the day. Her style is so crazy that her students constantly question, "Where does she get her clothes?" So in the spirit of "the Friz", I'm sharing a few ensembles from season one that Ms. Frizzle can rock in 2014...and now you can too! Follow along on Tumblr, Polyvore, andPinterest for more ideas.
