2018 marked my 5th year as a Dressember advocate! Participating in Dressember is about showing your support of the abolition of modern day slavery. Dressember is a 31-day challenge to wear a dress each day, which "creates an opportunity to advocate for the inherent feminity and dignity of all women". What if you were a person that always wears dresses? Not much of a challenge, right? Or what if you can't wear a dress, due to a work uniform? We had a solution! Once again, I teamed up with Elise of ELM Creative to host the #LetterForDressember prompt list for creatives that wanted to join the fight against human trafficking. People were able to use any form of art to spread awareness for this amazing cause. I have always struggled at fundraising. It's not one of my strengths. However, this year, I was able to give more, due to all the wonderful guests to my Redbubble shop! I pledged that for every sale during the month of December 2018, I would donate 50% of the profits to my Dressember goal. Thank you so much to everyone that purchased from my small shop! Your money is going towards an incredible cause! Below, you will see all my fashion illustrations for this year's Letter for Dressember. They were all inspired by Disney/Pixar characters! Be sure to check out all the other amazing artists via the hashtag: #LetterForDressember. To visit my past years with Dressember, click here!
