Officially 40 Weeks today. No Louie yet. ARRGH, COME ON. I am one week away from a scheduled C-section, which I would truly like to avoid. I'm not looking forward to the recovery and all the medication that comes with it. Bring on the natural labor inducers!
We're hoping that within the next six days, one (if not all) of the ways suggested will get this baby out, the main one being walking. Walking has been a struggle these past few weeks, but I've got to try as much as I can. I've already bought pineapple and red raspberry leaf tea, so we'll see how that goes. Pass on the spicy foods because it's too much of a risk, especially since I'm not really a fan of it to begin with. Oregano and basil seem to be popular items as well. There are so many "natural labor inducer" lists online, which can be super overwhelming. At this point, I will try anything to have a VBAC before another operation. Sure, the recovery could be better this time around, but there's a possibility that it could be just as bad as the first time. Maybe it's the nerves from being close to the birth, but I would rather do the VBAC. How say you? If you could choose, would you schedule the C-section or try for the VBAC?

My OB had me start taking Evening Primrose oil at 37 weeks. It supposedly softens the vaginal wall. I also think my OB scraped me at my 38 week appt. My water broke 2 days after that appt. She felt comfortable with me having David at 38 weeks, and I was scheduled to be induced on my due date as she didn't want him coming later than that since he was so big. He was 9 lbs, 1 oz at birth.
