Like many moms out there, in the evenings, I am usually rushing to get my kid done with his homework while making his dinner, with the goal to reward him with one cartoon show before bath/bedtime. Since I get home relatively late in the evening (between 5:30p and 6p), this routine needs to be squeezed into a two hour period. Most of the time, it is doable, and my evening workout will take place after the little goober is in bed.
However, this was not one of those weeks. I wanted to go to sleep the moment I got home. So what? Skip the workout? Nah, I have done way tooth of that.
The four smartphone apps above are my go-to way to workout while my son is watching his show of the evening. No need to use a DVD player, since the Brodster is hogging the TV. They include a variety of exercises and workouts that range from easy to boot camp (I did the ab boot camp on Wednesday and my abs are still burning!). Just another alternative to staying active! Bonus: I get to bed by 8pm. :)
