I can’t stress enough how beneficial a workout buddy is. However, even more effective is a “workout guilt-tripper”. The person that will seriously judge you if you don’t work out one day.
THAT is how I have stayed consistent for two weeks straight. My ever-so-charming beau, Patrick, has agreed to be this person for me. Every night, we do some sort of workout. It could be the jumping jack challenge or jog/walk two miles. Whatever it may be, he’s there. So why do I call him the “workout guilt-tripper”? Because he is the one person in my life that is so unnecessarily honest, so I know the moment I slack off, he will give me a guilt trip. He doesn’t even have to say anything! Just the look on his face will have that affect. In this case, the unnecessary honesty is VERY necessary! I don’t need somebody that going to say “Oh, it’s okay. Take a break today.” I can do that myself. I’m glad I have that person that will push me. Lucky for me, it’s in his nature to be judgmental (I knew that would come in handy someday!). Who’s your motivator? How do they keep you consistent?
