If you have been following on Instagram, you've noticed what a bargain I recently got with the site, Jewel Mint. I absolutely love this site, and today, I am telling you how they made me a life-long customer.
When you first sign up with the site, it gives you a small quiz on your style. It shows you four photos at a time of different items (i.e. four necklaces, four dresses, four shoe styles, etc.) and asks you to choose which one you like best. With your choices, the site then creates your personalized "showroom". This showroom displays items that are most closely related to your style. Of course, you can always opt to check out the whole site and buy whatever catches your eye.
After your first purchase, the site offers the option to buy Mint credits each month (charge of $29.99) if you would like. This pretty much works as a "savings account" for your account. Suppose one day, the most fabulous purse appears on the site, and it's selling out fast, but your checking account is short on funds at the moment. Your Mint credits that you have been saving up for months will cover it!
You can always opt out of this, but you need to remember to opt out every month that you don't want to purchase a Mint credit.
Now my Mint credits really came into play during last week's huge clearance sale. With the discounted prices and my two Mint credits, I was able to scoop up four eye-catching necklaces and a handbag. This purchase included free shipping and a special surprise gift. A $125 value, but I only spent $4.99 at check out!!
Baroque Brilliance Necklace: This is one of those neck pieces that is relatively simple enough to wear with most outfits, but has enough detail to catch people's eyes. Short necklaces are easier to pair with different types of neck lines, so I tend to stock up on these lengths.
Chain of Honor Necklace: Oh so medieval! LOVE LOVE LOVE! I'm a sucker for movies that take place in the middle ages and I have never seen a necklace that remotely resembled this age. Had to have it, even though I have very few items in my closet that will match the theme (sounds like a shopping trip, eh?)
Dream Catcher Necklace: With pieces like this, there should be a solid background so it could stand out. Earth colors (like brown, green, or orange) would definitely match the theme of the dream catcher.
Golden Trincket Necklace: This is not normally my style, but I couldn't stop looking at it! Geometric patterns on clothing are always my favorite, but this is the first time a piece of jewelry caught my eye. The shape of the angles are so pretty - does that even make sense? Haha!
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
