On Friday, we got this message from Brody's teacher: "In celebration of Dr. Suess' Birthday, First Grade Students May Wear CrAzY Hats to School (be creative) :-D". Be creative? Yes, Ma'am! The Brodster didn't just want a crazy hat, he wanted his hat to be Dr. Seuss themed. We looked through some books to see if there were any silly head gear to try to recreate. Go, Dog. Go! had a pretty cool one, but way too ambitious to make over the weekend. I'm not exactly sure how the idea for a stack of books came to mind, but it was the perfect idea. Today, along with Dr. Seuss' birthday, we celebrate Read Across America Day! What would reading be without these classic books? The Brodster picked his four favorite stories and I recreated the artwork to wrap around a lightweight box. Pretty freakin' adorable, right? :) How will you be celebrating today?
