"Life would be so much easier if I were skinnier" OMG I can't even count how many times that thought has crossed my mind. It's such a toxic way of thinking, especially when you realize that this world makes us believe we aren't worthy unless we are thin, young, and beautiful.
Let's switch it up, shall we?
The other day, I accidentally told myself, "Life would be so much easier if I were healthier". Happy accident, because YEAH, NO SHIT, AMY! Whole foods would help my body prevent injury and heal faster. Exercise would give me more energy and make me stronger. Life would be so much easier if I felt good.
Can it be called an epiphany if it's just plain common sense?
I am meeting with a dietitian soon, and honestly, can't wait. With so much information available online, it's impossible to know what what is healthy for me. Every body is drastically different. Methods that used to work for me no longer do, so I'm excited to finally meet with a professional that could steer me in the right direction. I'm also secretly hoping they call me out on my bullshit too, because I am notorious for looking for excuses. ;)
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
