Main Street Electrical Parade Brings All the Tears
We bought lunch from Aladdin's Oasis to get reserved seating. It was by It's a Small World so we knew we would watch it from the very beginning. 30 minute wait as opposed to the 2-hour wait the majority of the park had to do. Still, the boys were exhausted. So was I.
"Ladies and Gentlemen..."? the announcer sparks the crowd to its feet.
BOOM. Lights go out. The crowd squeals in the delight and I can't stop watching our boys' reactions to what is happening. They have no idea. Then as the music grows, the doors open and all we can see is a bright yellow glow. Instantly, my emotions get the best of me and I start crying from the overwhelming nostalgia.
Sharing the Main Street Electrical Parade with the Watkinez Boys has already marked my favorite memory of 2017. It was just in time to celebrate the Brodster's 9th birthday and Louie is at the perfect age to really understand these magical Disney moments. I didn't film any of the parade because I wanted to fully experience it with my boys and it was so worth it. Here's a fun little animation instead!
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
