Mix Tape #1: Getting Work Done
I'm constantly working. On a normal weekday, it is 8 hours at my desk job, then 2-4 more hours at home with my art and/or design. This week was no exception. Not that I'm complaining! I love having something to do all the time (otherwise, I get bored and start looking for chocolate), but it tends to get challenging sometimes. Thankfully, there is Spotify. What is Spotify, you ask? It is an free online music service that lets you listen to custom radio stations (like Pandora), or albums in their entirety. This means you get to listen to anything you want! I don't mind the ads; it's only a 15 second promo every few songs. Now, I know I labeled this "Mix Tape #1" but that's really not how I listen to music. I've never been one to shuffle songs. I search for albums - old, new, nostalic, whatever! I have always considered them to be stories. Always listened to them completely. Just like novels, the good ones never get boring. I've listed the five albums that have gotten me through the week. In fact, they gave me the energy to work faster, get in the zone, while dancing in my seat (but please don't catch me doing that; I'd be terribly embarrassed). Fly or Die - N.E.R.D The Heist - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis It Means Everything - Save Ferris Make Yourself - Incubus The Truth About Love - Pink What albums do you recommend?
