Earlier this month, I attended my very first Alt Summit. For those unfamiliar, Altitude Summit is a four day conference for creative entrepreneurs. Back in June, tickets had sold out hours after becoming available so I thought I had missed my chance. Just three weeks before the event, the summit contacted me because a few tickets had become available. YES, PLEASE! For my "Year of the Brave", it was an absolute must. How could I say no? To be honest, I went in a nervous wreck because I was so intimidated by all the talent that would be there, but I met so many wonderful people and was inspired by incredible speakers and sessions. I was finally able to spend time with some of the lovely people that I had met via Instagram too! BONUS: the Palm Springs weather was just perfection! I wish I could share everything that I learned but there was just so much info that even I am still processing it all three weeks later. One thing I can admit is that I am a much bigger introvert than I thought I was - haha! To be quite honest, Alt Summit 2017 has given me a much bigger perspective and opened my eyes to so many aspects of my work. As a one person show (most of the time), it is time to face the fact that I've got a lot to rework so that I don't overwork myself. This little scatterbrain of mine isn't doing me any favors, so it is time to reel it in. "Be relentlessly you" is the official mantra for life up in here! Are you all ready to join in my shenanigans? I hope so! If you are at all curious about Alt Summit or would like to know more about my visit, feel free to email me! To give you just a bit of inspiration that I received, below are some of my favorites quotes of the week. I want to take a moment to give a HUGE thanks to my wonderful family. The hardest part of this weekend was spending four days away from my Watkinez life. Huge bear hugs go out to my two wonderful boys who are the reason I work so hard at following dreams. My undying love goes out to my parents, who helped out with the boys while I was at the conference. Thank you to my incredible husband that continues to encourage my shenanigans, and who played both mom and dad while I was away. These are the people that have always believed in me and I will forever be in their debt. I love love LOVE you! For more info on Altitude Summit, click here.
