In the past, we have created personalized Christmas countdowns for the boys (holiday jokes, fun facts, Christmas ABCs). Now the boys expect a brand new way to count the days until Christmas, so this is totally my fault LOL. Thankfully, my husband came up with an idea for both boys this weekend! Pat suggested to do a Pokemon "Riddle-a-Day" for our 11-year old, Brody. For Lou, our 5 year-old, we are doing a "Guess the Disney character" clue each day. Pat wrote all 24 riddles and 24 clues on Sunday morning. I was in charge of the "easy" part: the actual countdown. Sunday afternoon, I spent four hours painting two countdowns for our boys. These were on sale at Michaels, and I made sure to grab some Basics paints as well. The countdowns are far from perfect, but it's cool. All they care about is that these were made just for them. Hopefully, we can reuse them in the future, but something tells me we will be customizing something new next year for our growing boys. :) Oh, by the way, I'm on TikTok! See exhibit A below.
