Ever since giving birth to Louie, I have gained about 40 pounds. 40 pounds in two years! I am one of the lucky people that had my gallbladder removed which makes maintaining a healthy weight increasingly difficult. Isn't that nice? My doctor warned me that there would be weight gain after the gallbladder removal if I didn't watch closely what I ate, but it went in one ear and out the other. "No more" I said, and made one of my goals for 2017 is to get back to a healthy weight by my birthday in June.
Fast forward to March and I'm in the same place as before. Life tends to get away for you like that, you know? I decided to do something new about it. "Time to get creative!" I say. As adults, we tend to see our friends a lot less often (I'm lucky if I get to see my girlfriends once a month), but when I realized I really had to buckle down and make some serious changes, my girls were the first ones I reached out to. However, texting and online groups just aren't enough for me. For my mindset to change, it has to be something tangible. Something right in front of me. Something FUN.
Fitness Pen Pals! I mean, who doesn't love getting care packages? This is all about accountability, encouraging your BFFs and new friends, all while making it super fun! And what's a care package without a colorful greeting card? 100% of my greeting cards are inspired by real life events and emotions. This new line is no different. It was so much fun to create a gift just for someone special.
