How's everyone's holiday weekend treating them? Just gotta say, thank goodness for scheduled posts because I wrote this last week just so I could chill all three days. :)
Round 3 of #SpoonflowerSaturday! I had some fun with the Spoonflower hashtag #swatchability this month, plus one plush. I'm wondering if we should have some Cozy Reverie plush projects...hmm...anybody willing to be test that out? For reals, though - email me with the subject "Plush Project" if you are interested! Otherwise, onto the May 2016 recap of Spoonflower projects!
Pincushions
With one swatch, you are able to create two small square pincushions! Pincushions are super cute, don't you think? I could never have enough! For this project, I kind of winged it when making them, but you can use the pillow tutorialhere. "Rightful Heir" fabric available is here.
Cactus Pillow
Originally, I had ordered a fat quarter of the potted cacti fabric, in hopes of making fabric napkins for our Mother's day lunch. Man, my order was WAY off! It was only enough for one napkin LOL! Instead, I used it to make this cute plush cactus. I may or may not keep using it as a necklace holder. ;)
Sunglasses Case
I have a terrible habit of not protecting my glasses. While I love hardcover cases, they tend to weigh a bit heavier than I would like in my purse, so I skip them. Fabric cases are ideal! I used this tutorial to make my own.
Embroidered Hoop Art
I am a big fan of hoop art (you should check out my buddy's shop here, btw!), and this was my first attempt ever. The fabric pattern is way better than my stitch-work but I still like it. Fun fact: someone out there bought this pattern as wallpaper and I am DYING to see how it turned out! If that's you, send me a pic!
