In the world of freelance, sometimes it feels that we are constantly chasing the money and we forget to do things that we are actually excited about. After months of burnout, I decided to go back to making art that makes me happy. I want to go back to things that inspire me. Designs that make me smile. With that mindset, I finally created a project that had been on my to-do list for years. Study Hall Chic is a project inspired by my boys. Whenever I would help them with their homework, sometimes an illustration would help them understand certain concepts that were confusing. I started wondering to myself, "how fun would it be to have more colorful, educational items around the house?" So that's what I'm doing! The concept: Educational items for the home & apparel For who?: Parents, students, teachers...EVERYBODY! Mission statement: Always keep learning! p.s. - Ms. Frizzle would totally shop here The first collection for Study Hall Chic launched today! The Bilingual Rainbow collection is inspired by the bilingual bedding I made for Louie last year. The new design is on adult and kids apparel, as well as stationary and home goods. All items will be available in my Redbubble shop. If you would like to see more of this project, be sure to follow @studyhallchic! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that has already followed along. I truly hope to make this one super fun project for everyone. Give it a looksie - trust me, even The Friz would dig it!
