Here we are, 4 months into the baby watch! Well, 17 weeks and 5 days, to be exact. With all the nausea during the first trimester, it has felt a lot longer for me. Thankfully, all of that is dunzo, for now at least. However, now there is another challenge: finding clothes that fit.
I lost about 10 pounds during the first trimester, but it felt like most of my body fat went straight towards where I need it most. My abs and thighs are definitely in baby making shape, oh joy! The baby bump is still relatively small, so loose fitting shirts and yoga pants are ideal. I'm in that funky stage where most don't notice that I'm pregnant yet, unless I wear something form-fitting (like today!).
My goal for this whole pregnancy is not shopping for maternity clothes. They are so expensive! The moment a company slaps "maternity" on the label, they add like 10+ bucks. Not cool, especially when I'm only going to be wearing it for 4-5 months (don't get me started on the maternity jeans). Luckily, maxi dresses and jersey skirts are still in style for the summer, and I plan on stocking up. They are relatively inexpensive and gloriously comfortable!
