Time to prepare the hospital bags! Actually, I probably should have done this weeks ago, but hey, it's done now. We had a false alarm yesterday, so we knew we had dropped the ball on this. The goal is to have the bags ready as long as it is before Louie is born, right?
It's not a huge necessity; it's more of a comfort. Hospital bags weren't prepared for my first pregnancy and I still survived. The hospital provides the majority of the bare necessities. These bags are really just about your own personal preference and how comfortable you would like your hospital stay to be. This time around, we're packing two bags: one for me, and one for baby Louie. For Baby Louie (Diaper Backpack)
- Nursing pillow (a.k.a. Boppy)
- Burp cloths - Car Seat - Going home clothes (don't forget socks!) For Mommy (TRAVEL BAG)
Just for fun, here are some tips for Dad and Brody. After all, they'll be hanging out too! Brody is not allowed in the delivery rooms at my location, so he'll probably be spending most of his time with Abuelo and Abuela. However, in the case that he might spend some time in the waiting room, we prepared a fun travel bag for him as well.
For Dad (Backpack)
- Camera
- Change of Clothes - Entertainment (laptop and mp3 player) - Comfy shoes - Toiletries - Birth Plan For Brody (BackPack)
- LeapPad 2
- Sketchbook & Crayons - Snacks (he loves Goldfish) - Lego Magazine (get a free subscription here!) Pack Before You Go
These are everyday items, for both moms and dads, that you need to grab on the way out.
- Phone & Phone Charger - Laptop/Tablet & Charger - Purse/Wallet Hope this helps out new parents! Is there anything you would add?
