Thank you to the brands that keep this blog going!
It's back-to-school time for the kiddos! When I was young, I loved this time of year because we would go shopping for supplies and finally see our friends after the summer. So when Spoonflower reached out to me to join a blog hop, you know I was all about it!
Since our little family is determined to collect as many memories as we can, milestones like the first day of 4th grade are at the top of our list (Wait. What? I have a 4th grader in the house? Geez, how time flies!). Today, we are creating pennants for the first and last day of school! The best part? They are reusable for the next few years!
I designed this cut & sew project specifically with Spoonflower fabrics in mind. They have an eco-canvas fabric that I have been dying to try, and I can honestly say it is amazing! Super easy to sew with my machine and the whole project is sturdy, which will help preserve the project for the next few years.
- Cut-and-Sew project (mint/pink version or blue/purple version)
- sewing machine
- fabric scissors
1. Cut both pieces along the dotted line
2. Pin right sides facing together
3. Stitch 1/4 inch in along the edge, leaving a small opening at the side to turn inside out
4. Turn pennant inside out and press
5. Stitch 1/4 inch in along the edge to finish the pennant
To add even more to their awesomeness, Spoonflower would also like to extend a 10% discount for Cozy Reverie readers! Use the coupon code Reverie10 at checkout. It will be valid until September 30 for orders of fabric, wallpaper and gift wrap. It can not be applied with any other promotional offers.
