Yesterday, Patrick and I hosted our first event for our Disney fan blog, A Waltz Through Disney.
For those that don’t know, about a year ago, we started the site to voice our own opinions on all things Disney, old and new. Patrick takes a deeper look into the Disney classics while I work on art inspired by the films. It has been a fun hobby for the past year, even though our recent blog posts have been few and far between. We hope to pick it up again in the next few months, but you know how life is.
Being the Disney lovers we are, we have also competed in the Mice Chat Gumball Rally, which is a huge competition for people that love visiting the Disneyland parks. Inspired by this event, we created our own to test run with our Disney-loving friends! We named it A Waltz Through DisneyLAND.
Eight teams of two were given a booklet of attractions to see, show to watch, photos to take, and food to eat. It was the ultimate Disneyland scavenger hunt! If was a lot of fun to brings a group of our friends together in a friendly competition. They even got to choose team names, and all were fantastic! Since it was the first one we ever hosted, we found a lot of kinks that needed to be fixed. Still, everyone seemed to have a great time, and that’s really what it is all about. In the end, team RosenMOUSE won the hunt and bragging rights until the next one. Yep, we’re planning on doing another! OH! And another bonus!
Disneyland had another Long Lost Friends event and I finally got to have an official photo with Robin Hood!
It was a long, tiring day, but still very, very fun! I can’t wait for the next one!
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
