I wasn't planning another post but this one was just to fun to miss. My Brodster chose Spiderman as his costume this year (after all the Ant Man costumes sold out - grr!) and I've got to say, it totally fits his personality. The Brodster is typically drawn to all funny characters and Spidey is definitely the comedian in the genre.
I think we might have started a new Halloween tradition! Last year, my little guy dressed as Donatello and designed his pumpkin as Michelangelo. This year, he matched again! Yep, this is a trend we want to keep on going.

Every year, I always want to have a costume that very few people will have, but I insist on it being Disney. Do you know how hard it is to decide this? At first, I wanted to be a classic black and white Minnie Mouse (you can see my design here), but I realized I didn't have enough time to figure out the makeup, so I brainstormed for another whole week. YEESH! I even annoy myself sometimes! I definitely want to figure out the Minnie one eventually, but I really want to give it the dedication it deserves.
While I would have loved to create a super-complex-out-of-this-world costume, let's get real: I'm still running after a crawler/toddler. I need to be comfy and agile. Then it hit me: I haven't done DisneyLAND yet! My favorite costumes this year have been the food-inspired ones so naturally I went with DOLE WHIP!!! Here is my original sketch:
This costume was inspired by Studio DIY's fro-yo costume earlier this month. I only used the head piece of her tutorial, and made a huge, yellow, fleece, infinity scarf that works as an easy shawl. Everything else is accessories!
We've been waiting for this day! You know, the future date on the time machine. I'm such a big fan of the Back to the Future trilogy so I couldn't pass up paying homage to the incredible, inspiring Doc Brown.

If you have been following my scopes, you may have heard me mention the wonderful artists I have been able to work with via Instagram. These Tea Cup Minnie Mouse Ears are my latest collaboration! Shop House of Mouse and I joined forces to create this design, specifically for her ears. I loved the pattern so much that is is now available in the Spoonflower shop. Aren't they just the cutest? I can't get over all her amazing designs! They are so wonderfully magical.
