I took an unexpected hiatus from my Etsy shop this past summer. Why? Because I'm distracted by shiny things, that's why! I'm so easily influenced by new ideas and projects, and unfortunately, this can cause me to stray for a bit. But I'm back at it! To start, I've brought back the popular pendant necklaces.
What makes these pendant necklaces so special? Well, the image inside the pendant is actually one of my original watercolor art pieces. Not a print; an actual original painting. With this miniature watercolor and ink image around your neck, you are promised to have the only one ever made. Even if I tried to duplicate a particular piece, it would still be different from the first! That's the beauty of handmade work. Each necklace is the only one in the world.
The first two posted in my shop are inspired by classic fairy tales. The wilting rose from Beauty & the Beast and the glass slipper from Cinderella. I am a big fan of color, and find both pieces really fun to style. I normally paint things that I love, so most of the necklaces that will show up on my shop will reflect my interests. The first two necklaces I sold were inspired by movies I was currently watching (Disney Pixar's "UP" and "Captain America")! Still, I love working on custom/personalized work. In fact, the first necklace I sold was a custom piece! If you are ever interested in an original piece, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org the subject, "Custom Pendant Necklace".
Please feel free to check out the rest of my Etsy shop and click on a few hearts! :)
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
