Do Ya Hula?
A few weeks ago, my husband bought me a piece of equipment that I had been eyeing for a long time: a weighted hula hoop! I love it! It is perfect to use while watching TV (especially now that I have been catching up on the Sopranos on HBO) or just hanging out around the house. Maybe take it to the park and take turns with your friends to see who lasts the longest. I mean, who doesn't like the hula hoop?
This 3-pound Empower hoop comes with a series of cardio (duh) and strength workouts for beginners, but honestly, I love just doing the normal hula-hoopin'! I feel like a kid again! Consistency is key, of course, which is my main struggle, but it is a fun way to keep moving. In a world of desk jobs and 2-hour commutes, we all need to find a way to stay active. When it is fun, you will do it more often!
