Dumbo has always been a movie that pulls at my heart strings. It is 100% gauranteed that I will cry watching "Baby Mine". Patrick and I are constantly talking about our dream home and how each room would have a different Disney-theme. Dumbo has never really been on the radar because a circus would really only work in a playroom...or so we thought!
When I was brainstorming ideas for our upstairs bathroom, Dumbo was not the natural first choice. I was thinking of more nautical themes, like Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, or Moana, but none of them got me super excited. Then after a trip to Disneyland, I realized Dumbo would be such a fun idea! Minimalism with bright colors would be perfect for such a small space.
I told my husband the idea and he loved it, but what really suprised him was how quickly it happened. The day I told him, I designed my ideas, uploaded them to Society 6, and ordered the same day (luckily, there was a sale going on). A week later, the entire collection was in our home!
With the exception of a much needed paint job (it's on the to-do list), I am so so soooo happy with how everything came together. Even though it is a small, our bathroom totally has a personality now. It only took 5 years to get there - LOLZ! Now if only I could figure out how to fit this bathroom rules art print in there...
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
