Painting always helps me relax. I rarely take the time to do so because of the clean up it requires, but since I was a nervous wreck during Game 3 of the Dodgers/Cubs series, I needed a fun little project. Thankfully, Natalie from Ariel and Adler hooked it up with this amazing tutorial for Halloween: a poison apple pumpkin!
I changed up a few materials, so below are the instructions on how I made mine. I also added her video tutorial because she made it look so easy!
A white craft pumpkin
Red acrylic paint (I used Waverly Crimson)
How I made mine:
1. Draw the poison apple design: eyes, nose, and wavy line for the drip of the posion.
2. Using the red paint, paint from the wavy line to the bottom of the pumpkin. Let air dry.
3. Paint the eyes and nose red as well. Let air dry.
Below is Natalie's tutorial, if you happen to have an orange pumpkin:
P.S. - the Dodgers won so I can confidently say last night was a very happy evening. :)
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
