Recently, Patrick and I decided to do one new thing a month. No real reason for the goal; we just thought it would be a fun way to hang out as a family. We always spent our free time at Disneyland since we were annual passholders, but now that we won't be renewing (it's crazy expensive), we are excited to find other places to discover. Thus, the Something New series begins on Cozy Reverie.
Funny enough, the first place we discovered was on our way home from Disneyland: North Woods Inn. We have always wanted to stop by because it was this huge log cabin on the side of the 5 freeway. It's the only place that has a snow capped roof all year round in southern California.
It was so much cooler inside (see what I did there?)! I love the dim lighting, which highlight the stained glass windows all over the place. There were a ton of amazing lamps at every turn, interesting paintings, and a HUGE fireplace. Such an chill vibe (I did it again!) with a hearty menu is a great place for families.
Wondering what Pat thought? "Ate lunch at Clearman's North Woods Inn, La Mirada for the first time today. It's probably the coolest, most amazing restaurant I've ever been to. I want to eat there alone for every birthday I have for the rest of my life."
Sounds like he loved it too. :)
