Most of the time, momentous occasions will be posted on blogs, like weddings or graduations. Sometimes, if we're lucky, I get to blog about rare accomplishments. Today is one of those days.
Behold, Patrick's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle battle scene! I woke up late this morning to find my husband playing with our son's TMNT toys. From what I can estimate, it took him about an hour to complete this (after a LOT of huffing and puffing when certain characters would fall from position). Before Brody could start playing with the toys, we can to capture the scene. You can check out his work in the slideshow below.
Seriously, these action figures are awesome, and they keep coming out with new ones. I'm not the only one who is impatiently waiting for Karai to be released. We seem to be collecting them "for Brody", but we will admit that it's our nostalgia that really influences the purchases. We grew up with the turtles, so it is no wonder the TMNT reboot has done so well. They aren't really marketing to kids; they are marketing to the parents' fond childhood memories. SMART.
Can you recognize all the mutants pictured?
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
