Yesterday was day 15 for the Spoonflower 30 day #SpoonChallenge! Surprisingly, I've stuck with it! I usually fall out of the groove by day 6, so I'm totally on a roll. Have you been participating? Most of my doodles take 15 minutes at the most (though it does help that I have an iPad that fills in the color for me), but the best part is how relaxing these types of activities can be. You don't have to be a classically trained artist to benefit from art.
I have always been an advocate of implementing a mandatory coloring book session every afternoon in the work environment. Coloring books are the best stress-relievers! It sounds silly, but if you really think about it, art is a great exercise for the mind. It challenges your creativity while letting you take a break from the crazy work life. You can return refreshed and maybe with some new ideas!
So grab a piece of scrap paper, or your kid's TMNT coloring book and get to doodling! Just 15 minutes - I bet you anything you will love it. :)
I draw, make, and occasionally tell a story.
